Should you bleed during Microneedling?
Great question! Keep reading to see my answer 👇
So here is the theory behind how microneedling ‘works’ to plump up the dermis and bring about skin rejuvenation: it caused microdamage to the dermis and therefore stimulates the formation of new collagen.
You definitely do NOT need to get bleeding when you have a microneedling treatment for it to ‘work’ – the blood vessels in the skin are relatively deep in the skin and it does depend where on your face the needles are going and at what depth – in some areas the dermis is thinner than in others so you will bleed more in those areas with the same length of needle.
It’s the damage to the dermis that counts – and this can’t be judged by whether or not you bleed.
